All About Me
Hi, I’m Lola ♡ I’m 19, endlessly curious, and figuring out who I am one plane ticket at a time.
I created LeLu on The Loose because I don’t just want to see the world, I want to experience it. I want to learn to surf in places I’ve never been, eat food I can’t pronounce, make friends I never would have met at home, get a little lost, stay out a little too late, wake up for the sunrise, and create memories and stories I’ll tell my grandkids one day.
This blog is my little corner of the internet to document all of it—the beautiful places, the chaotic travel days, the struggles through it all, the incredible food, the people I meet, the things I learn, and a few questionable decisions along the way.
I definitely don’t have everything figured out. But who does?
Life is too short not to be lived. ♡
Why Now?
Most of my life, I’ve been focused on what comes next. Spending my time working hard in school, chasing accomplishments, and earning degrees at a pace that rarely left much room to simply enjoy where I was at. I’m incredibly grateful for everything I’ve achieved, but I’m starting to realize that life isn’t only about reaching the next milestone. Life is short, the world is huge, and I don’t want to keep waiting for “someday” to start living it. So this is me giving myself permission to slow down, have fun, see the world, meet incredible people, and collect experiences simply because they make me happy. ♡
